Projects of All One People

Lillywhite Education Center
Purpose: Patrice Kisembe, the Director of Lillywhite Education Center for Orphans is a professional Kenyan educator.  Assisted by his wife Margarett, they give of their life and resources to assist needy children in Western Kenya.  Here they are fed, sheltered and offered an education.  Grades 1-8 are taught at the orphanage; while high school aged youth attend the local public school. The center is operated on minimal funds and provides assistance to more than 100 students.  Money is inadequate leaving them in need of food, clothing and high school tuition.  These children are intimately acquainted with hunger and hopelessness.  Your donation will make a significant difference since nearly all of it will reach the children in Kenya. Remember, All One People has no paid staff and will not use your donation for wages, office or travel expenses.
Future of the Lillywhite Education Center: All One People is currently working on the following projects with the LEC:
  • Provide high school tuition for 23 students
  • Expanding the Lillywhite agricultural production by leasing 10 more acres of land, buying two oxen and a plow and providing seed and fertilizer.
  • Acquire Kenyan curriculum materials for grades 1-8
  • Other projects that will help them to help themselves

High School Students from other areas

Seventeen deeply committed students have been selected from the other poverty stricken areas in Kenya. These are youth who show promise of academic capability or future leadership or both. They are being assisted on an individual basis and they school progress tracked. If we can lift these youth from poverty and despair, they will provide the foundation of a better future for their country. All of these youth yearn to succeed because as one stated, “education is the key to life”.
